A huge achievement for the team. 

The company now hopes to exceed FORS Gold standards by introducing a higher-level specification of new vehicles to the fleet that includes autonomous braking systems, on board weighing systems and low level cab windows as standard. 

These new features will help push the company’s fleet to the cutting edge of vehicle safety.

The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) is a voluntary accreditation scheme for any business that operates a fleet of vehicles. It aims to raise the quality within fleet operations and to demonstrate which operators are achieving high levels of best practice in safety, efficiency and environmental protection. 

FORS has over 5000 accredited members that include over 109,000 vehicles. By operating under the FORS standard, these vehicles are safer, more efficient and more environmentally friendly.

There are three levels of accreditation within FORS: Bronze, Silver and Gold. 

Bronze focusses on employing good practice in areas such as driver and vehicle safety and improving operating practices through effective monitoring of fuel and tyre usage. 

Silver accreditation ensures the fleet are compliant with the CLOCS standard for construction logistics and TFL’s work related road risk.
